Ford offers affordable off-road package for F-350 trucks - affordable off-road package
Ford’s XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package includes 35-inch tires and Rock Crawl Mode for enhanced off-road capability.

Ford’s upcoming 2027 F-350 Super Duty introduces a budget-friendly way to equip a heavy-duty truck with off-road features without paying the premium attached to the Tremor trim level. The XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package, available on the base XL model, provides off-road performance for $2,995. This package includes raised ride height, a locking rear differential, a limited-slip front differential, heavy-duty shocks, Trail Control, Rock Crawl Mode, skid-plate protection, and 35-inch all-terrain tires. Unlike the Tremor, it omits off-road-specific branding, making it suitable for work trucks that later receive custom paint schemes.

Automotive content creator Nick Jaynes identified this option while searching for a more accessible alternative to the Tremor. He configured an F-350 XL with the package for roughly $64,000, securing a pre-ordered unit in Nebraska. A fresh online build with Neptune Blue paint totaled just over $60,000, while choosing the standard fleet white would have reduced the cost by $395. Ford first announced the package in March 2026, though it has only recently appeared on dealer lots. The option targets government and commercial fleets requiring durable trucks without the Tremor’s distinctive branding, but it remains available to individual buyers seeking a less conspicuous off-road setup.

Despite Ford’s public announcement of the package last year, its limited marketing presence means many potential buyers remain unaware of its existence. The package’s introduction shows Ford’s effort to broaden access to off-road capability while maintaining cost efficiency.
