The previous-generation Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG is getting a second life with a set of custom Vossen S17-04 wheels, turning heads with a mix of classic luxury and modern aggression.
The S63 AMG, based on the W203 S-Class platform, packs a hand-built 5.5-liter AMG V12 Biturbo engine. It produces 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, enough to push the sedan from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph, though owners who take it to the autobahn might wish for more.
At the time, this was Mercedes-AMG’s flagship sedan—a blend of comfort and brute force. The elongated and aggressive design lines, wide stance, and overall silhouette still hold up, though the design now carries the weight of nearly two decades. That’s where aftermarket upgrades come in.
This particular build, completed by The Wheel Doctor, swaps the factory wheels for a set of Vossen S17-04s. The front wheels measure 22×9.5 inches, while the rear stretch to 22×10.5 inches. Both are finished in a deep Gloss Black, a choice that contrasts sharply with the car’s Iridium Magno Silver paint and red AMG brake calipers. The final touch is a red Vossen Wheels logo, adding that perfect exclamation point.
